Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. (MSC) is a division of MSC Group, a family-owned global organization operating a network of over 480 offices in 155 countries, employing a team of over 70,000 dedicated individuals. Since 1970, Captain Gianluigi Aponte has led MSC from its humble one-vessel-operation beginnings, into its status as a world leader in global container shipping. The company has seen exponential growth in terms of both volume and fleet capacity, and now serves millions of customers globally, with a much respected 365 day a year operation.

MSC’s first vessel sailed in Vietnamese waters in March 2003. Since then, MSC has extensively invested into cargo and cargo-related businesses in Vietnam.

In the South of Vietnam, MSC offers five weekly direct sailings departing from Vung Tau to US West Coast, East Coast, Japan and China, along with two weekly feeder departures for transshipment in Singapore and Tanjung Pelepas. In the North and Central Vietnam, MSC offer one weekly feeder sailing to Tanjung Pelepas and Singapore, and one to US West Coast via Yantian and South America East – west Coast via Hong Kong.

MSC’s excellent operation in Vietnam has been awarded with an ISO 9001 certification within the internationally recognized ISO framework.
